ICA-AP Committee on Women

The ICA-AP Committee on Women was constituted in 1998 due to concern over low to negligible visibility of women in cooperatives in the Asia-Pacific region. The overall aim of the Committee is to promote and encourage member organisations to ensure women’s participation in every aspect of cooperative development. The Committee gives attention to promoting women’s participation in decision making, leadership and management at all levels; and ensures Gender Awareness and Gender Integration in cooperatives within the region.
