R.H.W.A. Kumarasiri is the Project Director of the Integrated Rurban Development and Climate Resilience Project (IRDCRP), a joint initiative of the Government of Sri Lanka and the World Bank to enhance agri-food productivity, climate resilience, and rural-urban linkages. Formerly Director-General of the Department of National Planning, Ministry of Finance, he has extensive experience in public investment management and development planning. He has led major policy reforms and multi-donor partnerships, including with JICA, to strengthen national investment systems. At IRDCRP, he oversees cross-ministerial coordination and ensures effective, inclusive, and climate-resilient outcomes aligned with World Bank standards.
