Wasantha Samarasinghe is a Sri Lankan politician and trade union leader who currently serves as the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development. As a senior member of the National People’s Power (NPP) party from Anuradhapura District, he is recognized for his dedication to labor rights and anti-corruption advocacy. He holds a degree in Business Management Accounting from the University of Kelaniya and has actively contributed to parliamentary and trade union activities in Sri Lanka
