Mr. Upali Samarasingha is the Hon. State Minister of Cooperative Services in Sri Lanka, serving under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development. He has been actively involved in promoting cooperative development and economic initiatives, including participating in high-level business sessions such as the one hosted by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in New Delhi in September 2025, where he discussed new opportunities in trade, tourism, and manufacturing with Indian industry leaders. His role includes supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen cooperative societies and advance sustainable development through cooperative entrepreneurship.
