Mr. Srinivas Tata

Director of the Social Development Division at ESCAP

Mr. Srinivas Tata is the Director of the Social Development Division at ESCAP, bringing over 18 years of experience in the United Nations. A physician by training, he leads work on social protection, gender equality, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities, older persons, youth, and migrants. He has held key leadership roles at the UN, including in capacity development, partnerships, social policy, ageing, migration, and health, and previously served as Deputy Chief of the Regional Commissions’ New York Office. Before joining the UN, he worked with the Government of India as Director (Public Health) in the Ministry of Health and with the Ministry of Finance on taxation and tariffs.
