Prof. Sidsel Grimstad

Leading Academic in Cooperative Studies, Mutual Enterprises and Sustainable Housing

Prof. Sidsel Grimstad is a leading academic in cooperative studies, mutual enterprises, and sustainable housing. Since November 2024, she has served as an Adjunct at Griffith Business School, having previously been a Senior Lecturer at the Griffith Centre for Systems Innovation (GCSI). She is also the Vice-Chair of the ICA Asia-Pacific Committee on Cooperative Research. Her research and teaching explore how cooperatives and mutual organisations can serve as collaborative, equitable, and resilient business models, with particular focus on housing, environmental stewardship, and community innovation. Prof. Grimstad holds a PhD in Management from the University of Newcastle, along with an MBA and a Master’s degree in Social Ecology.
