global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In August 2025, the Asia-Pacific Regional Youth Dialogue, part of the <strong><em>International Forum We, the Youth (IFWY)<\/em><\/strong>, brought together young leaders from across the region to deliberate on six themes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Environmental Sustainability, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Economic Transformation, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Social Justice and Equality, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Technological Innovations and Ethical Considerations, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Peace and Cooperation, <\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Collective Action and Solidarity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These themes capture the urgent priorities of youth globally and reflect the challenges and opportunities young people identify as essential for shaping a more inclusive and sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These priorities also echo with the commitments made more than a decade ago in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youthpolicy.org\/uploads\/2014_Colombo_Declaration_On_Youth_With_Annex_En.pdf\"><strong>Colombo Declaration on Youth (2014)<\/strong>,<\/a> a landmark global document adopted by governments and youth representatives from over 160 countries at the World Conference on Youth in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Declaration emphasized meaningful youth participation in areas such as employment, food security, education, health, gender equality, environment, peace, governance, and youth rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the cooperative movement, both the six themes of IFWY and the priorities of the Colombo Declaration resonate strongly. Cooperatives across Asia-Pacific are already active in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, financial inclusion, women\u2019s empowerment, peacebuilding, and social justice. The moderator will guide the discussion by posing questions inspired by the Colombo Declaration and IFWY themes. Youth panellists will respond with their reflections, followed by <strong>success stories<\/strong> from cooperatives that illustrate practical contributions under each theme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The dialogue will unfold across <strong>four clusters<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Food Security and Employment<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Education, Health, and Gender Equality<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Environment, Peace, and Solidarity<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Youth Rights and Participation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each cluster will feature a short Q&amp;A with a youth speaker and a success story, showing how cooperatives are translating commitments into action.
