The country snapshots were produced within the Framework Partnership Agreement signed between the European Commission and the International Co-operative Alliance. The project, Cooperatives in Development: People Centered Businesses in Action, which runs from 2016 to 2020, aims to strengthen the cooperative movement and promote cooperatives with international development policies and programs. The country snapshots provide an overview of cooperatives in a country and touches upon their contribution to the economy, history, legal frame, presence, and association with international bodies.
