IE-NO-HIKARI Association was established in 1944 as an offshoot of Central Industrial Union, which later evolved into Central Union of Agricultural Cooperatives, based on the concept of cooperatives, with the intention of improving the economic and social status of people in agriculture, forestry and fishing industries while aiming at contribution towards the improvement of national culture. In particular, a home magazine IE-NO-HIKARI has a long history with its first issue in 1925.
