Ishita served as TYPF's Founding Executive Director from 2002 to 2015. She is currently working as an Independent Consultant and Advisory Committee Member with the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi. Ishita is a Founding Member of the international alliance RESURJ (Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Justice) since 2010, a Founding Member of The Torchlight Collective - a consulting group of professionals and youth advocates working in global health and human rights, and is an Advisor to the Global Fund for Women. She has previously served on and worked with several programme and policy advisory bodies to advance youth leadership and adolescent and youth health and rights, including the High Level Task Force on ICPD, working closely with youth groups, the United Nations and governments to advance adolescents and young people's health and Human Rights at state, national and global levels.
