Co-operatives showcase unique, innovative approach to 2030 Agenda implementation
New York, Monday, 11 July 2016 – At a side event during the UN’s High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the International Co-operative Alliance acknowledged the UN’s recognition of the power of co-operatives to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). www.coopsfor2030.coop Coopsfor2030 is a global campaign which unites and engages co-operatives in the Sustainable Development Goals implementation process. Supporting the campaign is the leading event for business development in the co-operative community, the International Summit of Cooperatives www.summit.coop, 11 to 13 October 2016). The 2016 summit will bring together leading co-operators, global agencies, and world-renowned experts for a full day of dialogue on resolving global issues and supporting the SDGs.
