Building Resilience Together: ICA-AP Webinar to Spotlight Cooperatives in Climate and Disaster Response
As climate risks intensify across Asia and the Pacific, the International Cooperative Alliance – Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP), through its Committee on Agriculture and Environment (ICAE), will host a regional webinar on “Cooperatives at the Frontline of Climate and Disaster Resilience” on 19 May 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:40 PM IST.
Framed as a platform for reflection and forward-looking dialogue, the webinar will explore how cooperatives are supporting communities before, during, and after climate-related disasters. It will bring together voices from across the region to share practical experiences and examine how cooperative models can strengthen preparedness, response, and recovery systems.
The session will feature keynote discussions on grassroots responses and enabling policy frameworks, with insights from speakers in India, the Philippines, and Japan. An interactive segment will allow participants to engage directly on emerging challenges and collaborative solutions.
Designed for cooperative leaders, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and youth stakeholders, the webinar aims to foster regional exchange and build momentum towards more resilient, community-led systems.
