The first physical meeting of Asia-Pacific Cooperative Development Platform (APCDP) members took place on November 28, 2024, during the ICA Global Conference in New Delhi, India. The meeting was an opportunity for members to meet in person and brainstorm ideas to develop the Platform.  The below points were ideated:

  • Onboard APCDP members on the Mapping International Cooperative Development Programs (MiCDP) Platform (https://micdp.coop4dev.coop)
  • Feature each member in the ICA-AP monthly newsletter
  • Feature member interviews/videos on social media platforms and explore the possibility of creating a dedicated APCDP section on the ICA-AP website.
  • Conduct member assessment to identify common areas for collaboration

APCDP is an initiative launched by ICA-AP under the ICA-EU Financial Framework Partnership Agreement 2 (FFPA2), titled “Cooperatives: People-Centred Businesses for Sustainable, Democratic, and Inclusive Development.” Its goal is to encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among cooperative development organizations (CDOs) involved in international cooperation and development.
