Welcoming New Members

We are pleased to welcome three new members from China and the Philippines.

Philippine Family Farmers Agriculture Fishery Forestry Cooperatives Federation (AgriCOOPh) from the Philippines joined as a regular member. AgriCOOPh Federation provides full-value chain services to agri-fishery-forestry cooperatives in the Philippines, enabling them to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness in the agriculture and rural development sectors. These services include capacity building, financial assistance, market linkage support, technology adoption, and policy advocacy to strengthen the operations of member cooperatives. It also facilitates access to farm inputs, modern equipment, post-harvest facilities, and export opportunities, empowering cooperatives to maximize productivity and profitability while promoting environmental stewardship and social equity. By fostering collaboration and innovation across the value chain, AgriCOOPh Federation plays a vital role in improving the livelihoods of smallholder family farmers, fisherfolk, and rural communities in the Philippines.

The Guangdong Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives (GFSMC) is a comprehensive cooperative economic organization dedicated to serving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, acting as the provincial-level joint organization for all supply and marketing cooperatives in Guangdong. It has established a board of directors and a board of supervisors, operating under a board chairperson responsibility system. The union comprises eight departments, oversees two directly affiliated schools, and administers the Guangdong Supply and Marketing Group, which manages six wholly owned and holding enterprises.
