Asia-Pacific Cooperative Market Access Forum 2026

The Opening Ceremony of the Asia Pacific Cooperative Market Access Forum 2026 was held on 27 April 2026 at Sofitel Xi’an on Renmin Square, Xi’an, China. It brought  together 35 international delegates from the ICA-AP Trade and Business Committee, , alongside around 100 local participants of the 2026 National Foreign Trade Training Program for the Supply and Marketing Cooperative System.

Moderated by Mr. Xu Guanghong, Vice President of All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives (ACFSMC), the ceremony commenced with an introduction, followed by welcome remarks from a representative of the Shaanxi Provincial Government. The programme  featured addresses by Datuk Seri Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdullah, Chairperson of the ICA-AP Trade and Business Committee, and Ms. Wang Yuyan, President of ACFSMC.

In his remarks, Datuk Fattah highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperative trade through practical engagement and meaningful outcomes. He emphasised that the Forum serves as a platform not only to showcase products, but also to build real partnerships, encouraging participants to focus on market readiness, product quality, and long-term collaboration.

Ms. Wang, in her address, underscored the role of cooperatives in promoting inclusive and people-centred trade, while sharing ACFSMC’s experience in developing strong supply chains and advancing international trade. She also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and capacity building in navigating today’s evolving global trade landscape.

Following the ceremony, Ms. Wang toured the product showcase area outside the hall, engaging with participating cooperatives and viewing a variety of products presented by members, including food and beverage items, handicrafts, wellness products, agricultural goods, and other cooperative-based products representing the diversity and strengths of cooperatives across the Asia-Pacific region.
