CoopsDay 2026 β Call for Case Studies
As the global cooperative movement prepares to celebrate the International Day of Cooperatives (CoopsDay) on 4 July 2026, we invite members of the International Cooperative Alliance – Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) to share inspiring case studies that demonstrate how cooperatives contribute to building peaceful, inclusive, and resilient communities.
This year’s CoopsDay theme, “Cooperatives for a Peaceful World,” recognises the unique role cooperatives play in bringing people together, fostering trust, strengthening social cohesion, and creating opportunities for dialogue and shared prosperity. Across the Asia-Pacific region, cooperatives are helping bridge social, economic, cultural, and geographic divides while empowering communities to address common challenges collectively.
We are seeking case studies that highlight how cooperatives have:
- Promoted social inclusion and community cohesion
- Fostered dialogue and cooperation among diverse groups
- Supported conflict prevention, recovery, or reconciliation
- Strengthened economic resilience and reduced inequalities
- Empowered women, youth, Indigenous peoples, or marginalised communities
- Built trust through democratic participation and member engagement
- Contributed to peaceful and sustainable local development
Selected case studies will be featured through ICA-AP communication channels as part of the CoopsDay 2026 campaign, showcasing the remarkable contributions of cooperatives across the region.
