Coops Day President’s Message for the International Day of Cooperatives 2026

On the occasion of the International Day of Cooperatives 2026, International Cooperative Alliance, Asia and Pacific (ICA-AP) President Dr. Chandrapal Singh Yadav shares a message reflecting on this year’s theme, Cooperatives for a Peaceful World. Drawing on inspiring examples from across Asia and the Pacific, he highlights how cooperatives continue to foster trust, strengthen communities, and build bridges in times of conflict, crisis, and uncertainty.

Alongside the President’s message, ICA-AP is commemorating the International Day of Cooperatives 2026 through its month long regional campaign, “Cooperatives as Bridge-Builders.” The campaign brings together members’ voices, case studies, social media storytelling, and a regional digital publication to showcase how cooperatives across Asia and the Pacific are fostering trust, strengthening communities, and contributing to a more peaceful world.

As the cooperative movement prepares for the ICA Global Conference in Panama, Dr. Yadav calls on cooperators to uphold cooperative values and work together towards a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable future.
