The 20th ICA Asia-Pacific Research Conference will take place on 6–7 October 2026 at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, bringing together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and cooperative leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The conference provides a forum for advancing research and dialogue on cooperatives and mutuals as contemporary institutional responses to future challenges. It will also include a dedicated workshop for Young and Emerging Cooperative Scholars to strengthen Asia Pacific research networks.

Organized in collaboration with the ICA-AP Committee for Cooperative Research and supported by the Australian Business Council for Cooperatives and Mutuals, the Conference adopts the theme “Transforming Cooperatives for the Future” to foreground cooperatives and mutuals as active agents in shaping future-oriented solutions, rather than as residual or alternative organisational forms.
